AnTS - DOWNLOADS

I have decided to move all AnTS files out of the blog posts and dedicate a single page to it. Since it seems that I may be working on it more than I thought, this will make it definitely easier to post new AnTS versions than modifying old blog posts. Read the original linux post here, the kinect upgrade here, and the Augmented Reality upgrade hereAt the moment there are two branches of AnTS, the original one for linux and its port to windows. Bugs and improvement requests are welcome.

You can also check out the video gallery page of the different uses you can make of AnTS.

What it does:
  • General purpose image-based tracking, Augmented Reality 3D tracking, QR code tracking, mouse emulation, TUIO events.
  • It supports PlayStation Eye, MS Kinect and video for windows compatible cameras.
  • If your camera is not compatible or you want to use an IP camera, etc... try using the ManyCam software (www.manycam.com).
  • Perspective and distortion correction.
  • Tracking information is sent over UDP sockets using the protocol defined in the GUI by the user.

This is the original version of AnTS. I have checked the following files to be compatible with (at least) Fedora 8 to 14 and SUSE linux distributions:

Alternatively you can burn a Live AnTS CD with this bootable image that contains a pain free working AnTS 2.63-49 installation: AnTS__Analysis_and_Tracking_System.i686-0.0.16.iso

This version is more recent and is currently updated more frequently than the original linux version. It is provided as a port of the linux version to windows, what is a major achievement already.

Change log:
  • Version 2.9-01 (04/03/2017):
    • Fixed issue with ARMA tracking. Position was not rotation invariant.
    • Removed support from native PSEye CL driver. It is now compatible with standard OpenCV cameras.
    • Added AR patten images in the installer
    • Fixed naming of AR patterns. Now it is the file name used.
    • It should be Windows 8 and 10 and x32 and x64 compatible.
  • Version 2.8-04 (19/09/2014):
    • Permission problems fixed
    • AR patterns added at the end of the help.pdf document
  • Version 2.8-02 (26/05/2014):
    • Bug that did not start AR tracking automatically fixed
    • RehabNet configuration defaults added in communication tab
  • Version 2.8-02 (22/09/2013):
    • Suports Augmented Reality tracking thanks to the ARma libraries
    • QR code tracking (single object though) thanks to libcodeqr
    • Video file input is supported
    • Many minor fixes
  • Version 2.8-01 (22/06/2013):
    • Recompiled sources for linux after long time
    • support for TUIO interface and osc, etc is built in AnTS
    • Fixed a couple of aesthetic issues with the UI
  • Version 2.7-05 (09/06/2013):
    • Loading configuration crash fixed
    • Added feature to visualize the result of processing, the original or thresholded image.
    • Other minor fixes
  • Version 2.7-04 (26/05/2013):
    • ROI updated in GUI unnecessarily --> fixed
    • Mouse emulation created in windows
    • Double threshold (lower and higher) created
    • Color inversion --> image inversion
    • Fixed crash when closing kinect_device
    • Fixed crash when detection == 0
  • Version 2.7-03 (27/04/2013):
    • Mouse events work again after closing the tracking window
    • ROI size is checked to be <= than image size. This caused crashes with kinect
  • Version 2.7-02 (07/11/2012):
    • I would say this is the first stable windows version of AnTS. Many crash fixes: GUI item refresh caused a crash sometimes; Color list access returned pointer -1; loading of default configuration crashed with some filters; pick color crashed very often.
    • Auto-detection feature wasn't working under windows
    • 0 seconds wait for auto-detection means now 0, not 1 second.
  • Version 3.X (29/10/2012):
    • It is a parallel port developed by Ulysses Bernardet of version 2.63-49 that uses Qt4!
  • Version 2.7-01 (29/10/2012):
    • MS Kinect support: RGB and depth images
    • New AnTS favicon!
    • Cleaned some of the Windows GUI
    • Fixed loading of configuration. It now remembers the camera device
  • Version 2.63-51 (19/10/2012): Correct frame rate computation in windows.
  • Version 2.63-50:
    • Packaged with NSIS as an installer under windows
    • The pdf of the manual DOES launch also under windows
    • Compiled with OpenCV 2.4 under windows
